Robots and Horses

The only things I'm wondering:

First, when we had horses, there were lots of horse related jobs around. Now we have cars - we have a whole lot of different jobs designed to support them - mechanics, oil drillers, refiners, engineers, road builders, etc. If robots take over - would something similar occur, or would we just be out of luck?

Second, if humans are unemployed, and thus have no money - who will buy the products the robots are creating? Perhaps the few humans who are left with jobs will be able to afford products as they have now become so cheap.

I guess we'll find out!
